Western Blot Analysis
Using protein extracts provided by you, we can confirm the presence of specific antibodies in your serum. Please inquire for further details.
Affinity Purification of Customer Supplied Antibodies
If you are in possession of sera that has specific target but a lot of background, affinity purification against the antigen (peptide or protein) may help. Simply provide the sera along with the peptide, protein, or peptide sequence and allow us to do the clean up.
Protein A Purification of Customer Supplied Antibodies
If an antigen sequence is unknown, or when using recombinant proteins as antigens, protein A purification may be all that is needed to increase the signal-to-noise ratio in your assay.
Antibody Conjugation Services (HRP, FITC, Biotin, or Colloidal Gold)
Many assays used in research require an initial binding step, a reporting system, or both. Conjugating your primary antibody to one of the molecules commonly used in the various steps in these assays can be advantageous for decreasing background and streamlining your protocol. Let us make your life easier!
Antibody Fragmentation Services
Due to possible background or unwanted protein binding issues (especially with the Fc fragment), it is sometimes beneficial for your assays to digest IgG with papain and/or pepsin into Fab and F(ab)2 fragments.
Special Buffer Formulations to Enhance Stability & Promote Ease-of-Use
Purified antibodies are de facto supplied in PBS (pH7.4) only, in case you need to work with additive-free material. However, this is not their most stable conformation. Therefore, upon request, we will add any combination of 0.05% NaN3, 1% BSA, and 50% glycerol in order to aid in stability at no charge to you. Using glycerol is an excellent choice as the bulk antibody material remains liquid when stored at -20oC, thereby eliminating freeze-thaw complications that could affect the stability. In our experience, stability is just as important as initial quality.
